Our Secret Spot

Emma's catch
We found a spot on a gorgeous river which we camped here for a total of 4 fantastic days and nights, it was so magic. We call it our secret spot because we want to keep its name and location a secret so it remains peaceful and keeps its beauty.
We enjoyed swimming in the clear running water. Emma and Kate enjoyed fishing and did catch some little fish which made it more fun. They even made their own rods from a stick and fishing line and put some bread on the hook to catch some bait fish, this provided hours of fun. We put the traps in and caught some freshwater prawns (cherabin) which the girls were very excited about.

Row Row Row the boat
There was a lovely couple John and Wendy camped next to us for a few days and they had a little rubber boat that the girls had so much fun rowing around in. And then John spoilt them more with a proper milkshake. And one night we even got to have some fireworks (NT still have fireworks night once a year, lucky them).

Milkshake.....thanks John

Emma and Kates secret hideout
The girls made their own little secret hideout by the water and made a fire and cooked up a chocolate damper which turned out great and was yummy.
We had so much fun at this spot and enjoyed our time here and the company of the people we met whilst we were there.
